We all love an interesting backstory, and neoclassical composer RIOPY is absolutely no exception. Having grown up in a secular cult in France with zero access to music, or any form of entertainment for that matter (yes, really), Jean-Philippe Rio-Py taught himself to play piano from an early age after stumbling upon an abandoned instrument. Through perseverance and finding salvation in the keys, he managed to escape the cult and capture the ear of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and the rest is history.
